Procedures to receive AP credit
| 1. | Submit the official AP score report to the Assessment Center. |
| 2. | Student must have completed at least six college credit hours at SAC. |
| 3. | For an official AP score report you must contact College Board AP @ 1-888-225-5427. SAC AP codes is 6645 |

Regulations
| 1. | Credit by examination is awarded and posted on a student’s transcript only after the student has earned six college-level semester hours at San Antonio College. |
| 2. | Only credit by examination grades of CR designations are recorded on a student’s transcript. Credit by examination may not be earned for any course a student has already completed in the classroom. |
| 3. | Credit by exam awarded by San Antonio College applies to its program of study; such credit may transfer to other institutions according to the policies of the receiving institution. A student who plans to transfer should consult the transfer institution regarding its policies and acceptance of evaluated credit. |
| 4. | The maximum credit allowed through any combination of exams is 32 semester hours. Credit allowances may vary with specific departments and individual exams |
| 5. | Credit (CR) hours earned by examination will not be included in student’s GPA computation; however, the semester hours are counted for graduation. |
| 6. | A student enrolled in a course for which credit by examination is sought must: 1. Withdraw from the course by the census date. |
