My credentials for serving as your instructor include both formal education and work experience. I earned both my BA in Management and my Masters of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University's Weekend College Program. I believe this form of education has been helpful in preparing me to help you with this very "nontraditional" form of learning. My work experience includes 18 years at what was once the largest Savings and Loan in San Antonio - starting as a part-time teller and working my way to Senior Vice President. Following that I spent 8 years at the largest state chartered credit union as the Executive Vice President. At the present time I operate my own Consulting firm specializing in small financial institutions and service issues. During my time at the S&L, I finished my undergraduate degree while helping raise a daughter. Three years later found me working on both my MBA and helping raise a son. Both are now grown, one married and a teacher - the other working and learning. Now, my spare(?) time is spent in outdoor activities, hiking, canoeing and camping and serving as an adult Scout Leader. I look forward to learning with you - and believe that the day is wasted if I too, don't learn something new. |
