Requirements for this Internet Course:

Your participation will be required for the Internet course. You will be interacting with the instructor throughout the semester. Therefore, you must have knowledge of the Internet and email, an email address, a relatively current browser and either Microsoft Office 97 or WordPerfect.

All assignments will be submitted as an EMAIL ATTACHMENT - and MUST and be in the form of Microsoft Word 97 or older file. Regardless of which version you work in - save your work as a Word document with a ".doc" file type.

Please DO NOT type in your assignment or study question answers directly on the email 'form'. All assignments and study questions MUST be submitted as an "attachment". IF after reading these instructions - you are still unsure what I am asking for CALL ME - 210-413-3593 - and we will talk about it.

If you like, you may receive a free ACCD Email address through the Web for students or use your personal email address. To receive your email address, students should go to the ACCD home page:

http://www.alamo.edu./

and click on “Student Information Access and On-Line Registration.” After you log on to your college you should select the “Administrative Functions Menu” to obtain an email address. If you have any questions, you may contact Support Central at 220-1616.

It is imperative that you email the instructor as soon as possible so that you may be added to the Listserv.

You must have a working knowledge of Windows 3.1 or higher. Web skills can be easily picked up at the Virtual Learning Website. Technical assistance is available at the SAC Internet Help Desk (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM).

Steps necessary to be successful in this course:

Step 1 Read the syllabus and pay close attention to the course assignments.

Step 2 Read the assigned chapters in your text (see assignment page).

Step 3 Read the assigned lecture notes and respond on-line as requested.

Step 4 Read and respond to all on-line assignments on times and dates indicated.

Stop 5 Utilize the Internet to provide resources for all submitted work.

Step 6 Check the Examination Section for detailed instructions.
