Brief Bio :

Since 1978, I have been an employee at San Antonio College.  In 1982, I was hired as the  first woman faculty member in the Business Department.  The courses I most frequently taught were Principles of Management, Marketing Management and Strategic Management.  As Department Chairperson since 1990, I have seen many changes on this campus.  First going from an inner city college with concrete and buildings to the transformation into a first rate college campus.  Secondly, the college has continued to meet the educational needs of the community through offering new program and/or courses as well as replacing those programs no longer viability.  The Business Department has also changed dramatically from its early years.  It started with two programs and has now grown to five programs to include; Banking and Financial Services, Business Administration, Business Management, Public Administration and Real Estate.

I am a native Texan, born in Fredericksburg, a small town in the Texas Hill Country.  Earning a two-year degree from San Antonio College sent me on my way to pursuing a four-year degree from Texas State and then on to earning a Masters Degree from UTSA in Higher Education and Management. 

My previous work experience includes the employment at a newspaper, a retail establishment, a student services unit on a college campus, and a fast-food organization where I worked for the Chief Financial Officer.
