Steps to College

  1. Apply to college at www.applytexas.org
    Step-by-step instructions
  2. Take the Accuplacer Placement exam.
    For information on schedule, cost, and practice exams, visit the SAC Assessment Center.
  3. Apply for financial aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
    Our Community Education Centers can help you apply for financial aid.
  4. You can also apply for scholarships to help with your college expenses.
  5. Send us your high school transcript.
    An incomplete transcript can be used for your first semester, but you must have a complete transcript with your graduation date in order to register for your second semester of classes.
  6. Register for classes.
    Visit our Counseling Center and a college counselor will help you select the appropriate classes.

Note: If you participated in the events when we attended your high school, you may have already completed all or some of these steps at your school.
