The Continuing Education Training Network is committed to being the regional leader in providing high quality, innovative training and educational programs to meet the evolving needs of a diverse population pursuing lifelong learning and workforce development.
• Professional development programs to enhance and develop career
progression for individuals in the private and public sectors.
• Educational partnerships with local business, economic development,
government agencies, and professional organizations.
• Career preparation provided through a wide range of programs that
prepare students for immediate employment.
• Pre-employment training to include general education, basic skills, and
English language training.
• Personal enrichment programs that support and encourage lifelong
learning.
• Community outreach programs designed to insure inclusion of all
segments of the community.
• Information Technology offerings including courses in computer basics,
operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, Internet/website
development, 3-D animation, computer certification, and on-line computer
instruction.
• Professional certification and licensure training sanctioned by appropriate
state and national associations, and licensing boards.
• Support services for non-credit students to include advising, registration,
and recording results of individual continuing education courses.
• Continuous assessment of programs and service effectiveness, and
utilization of results for quality improvement.
• Operation of the Division within available fiscal resources to provide
accountability to the taxpayers of the Alamo Community College District.
