  • PHR/SPHR Certification at SAC and Randolph AFB (42 clock hours).
    • HRPO 1091:This 42-hour course is the official SHRM program for National Human Resource Management Certification. Management practices, selection and placement, training and development, compensation and benefits, employees, labor relations, and health and safety are all covered.

  • Professional In Human Resource Management – RAFB Only (57 clock hours).
    • HRPO 1041: This 57 clock hour course is the official SHRM learning system for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resource (SPHR) national certification. The course consists of two blocks of instruction: Block I - Fundamentals of Human Resource Management (15 clock hours) is designed to help bridge the knowledge gap between private and public sector human resources terminology, methods, and laws. Block II - Professional in Human Resource Management (42 clock hours) covers the major functions of human resource management, including management practices, staffing, benefits, employment law, labor relations, and employee health, safety, and security. This course is ideal for military personnel officers, senior NCOs and civilians transitioning to the private sector. All textbooks and certification pre-tests are provided.  This course is approved by the USAF for tuition assistance.
    • This program is strategic in nature and prepares military personnel for career advancement in the human resource management field. Courses are interactive forums and "Real World" case studies which allow participants to gain and retain knowledge.
    • This program is approved for USAF Tuition Assistance. Contact your local Education Service Center for details. Classed offered at Randolph AFB and Lackland AFB.

  • Essentials of Human Resource Management – RAFB (15 clock hours).
    • HRPO 1091: This is a 15-clock hour non-credit continuing education course designed for the professional development of entry-level Human Resource practitioners and line managers with HR responsibilities.  The course will provide participants with a broad overview of the human resource function.  Key topics include Introduction to HR Management, Employment Law, Staffing, Compensation, Human Resource Development, and Performance Management.  The course is ideal for supervisors who have the responsibility for interviewing and hiring employees, training employees, team leaders with supervisory responsibilities, entry-level human resource specialists, or those seeking a career in human resources.  The course is strongly recommended for military personnel transitioning to the private sector who wan a second career in human resources.
