Perform a Degree Audit

You can access your degree audit online either through

1) SAC PALS

or

2) the ACCD Student Information Access and Online Registration.

A degree audit is an automated report that matches specific program requirements with courses that an individual student has completed and/or is enrolled in.

If after following the instructions below, you have any difficulty accessing your degree audit or have any questions, please consult a counselor at the Counseling Center in the First Floor of the Moody Learning Center.

1) SAC PALS

RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE

You can access a degree audit by going through the following steps.

  • Go to ACCD main website: www.accd.edu

  • Click on San Antonio College, top right.

  • This will bring you to the PALS main page for SAC. If you have accessed PALS before, you would enter your username and password. If you are a new user of PALS, follow the instructions for new users to access your account username and password.

  • Once you have entered PALS, click on PALS Web Services, top left.

  • Click on Student and Financial Aid. This will lead you to the Student Services menu.

  • On the left hand side, click on Degree Audit.

  • You will see the name of the major and catalog year currently listed in the SAC Information System for you. It is listed as your primary degree program. You can access your degree audit for this program by clicking on Submit at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: Be sure to click on “How to Read Your Degree Audit” to understand the various sections of the degree audit.

If the degree audit does not come up, or if you receive an error message or a message that says the program is not defined or not available, you can go back by clicking on Degree Audit at the menu at the bottom of the page (do not use the Back button).

You will then be back to the Degree Audit screen and you can then use the Modeling button to print the degree audit. Click on the Modeling button and Submit.

Scroll through the majors and programs listed and select one by highlighting it and click on Submit. At the next screen, select the Program and Submit. You will then be on the degree audit for that program.

The Degree Audit shows the following:

  • Academic Requirements (courses) you still need to complete for this degree/program.
  • The Academic Requirements completed and applied to this degree/program.
  • Work Not Applicable to this Program. (This does not always mean that the coursework will not transfer or count toward your 4-year degree program. It may mean that you have already met the specified requirement using another course. Consult with your counselor if you do not understand why a course is not considered applicable to the program.)

The Degree Audit is an unofficial review of what you have completed toward a specific degree and major at San Antonio College, based on transcript work you have completed or is in progress. It does not take into account courses taken at another institution if you have not submitted an official transcript from that institution.

NOTE: The degree audit is not flawless and may not take into account all courses which could count towards degree requirements. If you believe this to be the case, you should consult with the Admissions and Records Office or a counselor in the Counseling Center.
