If the student is planning on living with the sponsor, a letter from the sponsor stating that the rent will be provided is also required. Application checklist for new students:
Once you are accepted to San Antonio College, we will send you an acceptance letter, the form I-20 and instructions about how to pay the SEVIS fee. You will need to take these items and the receipt of the SEVIS fee to the Embassy and apply for an F-1 Visa. Receiving an I-20 does not guarantee issuance of a student visa. If you do not receive a student visa, please let our office know by e-mail. If you receive your student visa, you can travel to the United States only 30 days prior the first day of class stated on your I-20. Please come to our office as soon you arrive in the United States, with your I-20, Passport, Visa, and I-94. You will need to fill out some paperwork and meet with an international counselor before registration.TRANFER STUDENTS FROM ANOTHER COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY IN THE UNITED STATES Transfer students must follow the same procedures as a new student with a few additional steps. Once you have been admitted to San Antonio College, you will need to take the release form and admission letter (given by San Antonio College) to the International Students Services at your current school. SUMMER TRANSIENT AND/OR CONCURRENT STUDENTS Transient and/or Concurrent students do not need to fill out an International Student Application. You will need to come to the International Students Office at least one month (30 days) before you want to begin classes at San Antonio College. You may come in earlier. The sooner you apply the more options you will have for your courses.Application checklist for Transient and/or Concurrent students:
