Student Development - WelcomeAs an institutional requirement for all students, and in compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, San Antonio College provides a freshmen orientation program, which contributes to a student’s success and persistence in college. Students are encouraged to enroll in Orientation when they initially register at San Antonio College. Students who have less than fifteen credit hours at the time of their first enrollment at San Antonio College are required to enroll in Student Development (SDEV) 0170 in their first semester. Students who transfer to San Antonio College from another college with fifteen or more credit hours may be given an exemption prior to registration by the Coordinator of Student Development. Grade slips and/or copies of college transcripts may be used to prove these exemptions. Student Development (SDEV 0370) will substitute for SDEV 0170 and will meet the requirements for Orientation at San Antonio College. This course is especially required for all students needing full remediation in English, mathematics, and Office Hours/LocationMonday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Location |
