The following representative list is of works co-written by Beaumont and Fletcher unless otherwise indicated.

Besides the plays he wrote alone, Beaumont wrote about fifteen plays in collaboration with Fletcher, and Fletcher, himself prolific, wrote plays individually and in collaboration with one or more other playwrights. For example, The Two Noble Kinsmen is considered a fairly equal collaboration between Fletcher and Shakespeare, and The Bloody Brother is considered a collaboration of Fletcher and at least three others. The History of Henry VIII is said to be all Shakespeare's, partly Fletcher's, or...The controversy which has surrounded the authorship of these and other plays is not mere academic clowning: establishing texts and authorships is an extremely painstaking process and requires highly specialized knowledge of authors' writing styles, contemporary history including daily events, the publishing business of the time, and theatrical history in all its branches, just to name a few areas.
