I was fortunate to be granted a Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Fellowship to Israel and Jordan from June 24 through August 4, 2001. Our group of thirteen scholars spent three weeks in Israel and three weeks in Jordan. We had lectures about many aspects of the countries, including water issues, politics, religion, and education. We also toured each country from north to south. Out of my collection of 976 digital photos from the trip, I have selected 142 photos of holy sites that I visited. I designed this photo travel journal for my students in The Bible as Literature (English 2373), hoping this presentation will enhance their understanding of the Bible.

The conventions of dates are that CE means Common Era (also called AD for Anno Domini) and BCE means Before the Common Era (also called BC for Before Christ).
