From a report on a survey done by the University of Cincinatti on hiring trends in Architecture firms:
"Work experience and computer-aided design (CAD) skills are a student's best friends when it comes to landing a job and commanding a higher wage. Ten years ago, 30 percent of firms had CAD drafting abilities. That figure now stands at 93 percent. Currently, 45 percent have rendering/animation abilities to create computerized, three dimensional models, usually for client presentations."
"Nearly 30 percent of firms want students with CAD skills, 18 percent want graduates with computer modeling/animation ability. Presently, only 13 percent of firms have a home page, but 32 percent expect to develop one in the near future. Doubtless, graduates with HTML editing skills will enjoy advantages in this changing job market."
