Seniors Program


The Senior Summer Program is geared towards easing the transition from high school to college for graduating seniors. No matter what college you decide to attend in the fall, San Antonio College can help you discover the "college experience" and put to ease any fears you have about making the grade-whether it's English, making new friends or adjusting to a new campus.

The Senior Summer Program is a six week program that starts in the second week of June. Students from Educational Partnership School are encouraged to apply for the program.

This year, the Program is targeting 15 high schools within the metropolitan area and within the Educational Partnership. The Program will commence June 7th and terminate July 14th. Classes will be held Monday through Friday, as follows: 08:40am – 10:10am – 11:50am; and 12:00pm – 01:30pm.

The schools to be targeted for recruitment purposes will include the following:

  • Edison High School
  • Fox Tech High School
  • Harlandale High School
  • Highlands High School
  • Jefferson High School
  • Kennedy High School
  • Lanier High School
  • Lee High School
  • McCollum High School
  • Memorial High School
  • Sam Houston High School
  • South San High School
  • Southside High School
  • Southwest High School

Financial Aid

San Antonio College provides financial assistance to students participating in the Senior Summer Program. The first 150 students who enroll in this program can receive up to $400 to pay for their tuition. That's six hours of free college credit, however, you must complete the current fiscal year FAFSA.
The FAFSA can be picked up at your high school, at San Antonio College Student Financial Service Department, or you can submit the form online through the Department of Education Website.

Along with the basic college courses, San Antonio College offers specialized degrees, occupational and technological certificates, evening, weekend, and distance education, and 2+2 programs.

Courses


The courses available for this program include English, Math, Student Development, Government, Reading and History. Classes
are held from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:40a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
