In the Spring of 2007 a group of students in the Chinese class formed the Chinese Culture Club for the purpose of "promoting the knowledge and understanding of Chinese language and culture". It is now in the process of being recognized by. Although most of the students in the CCC are studying Chinese, any student in good standing at San Antonio College may join.
The club especially welcomes students who are Chinese, so that they can introduce aspects of Chinese culture to American students, help organize activities, and take part in language exchange with American students.

The first (unofficial) activity of the CCC was a special guided tour of the Chinese wing of the San Antonio Museum of Art (above). Future activities will include fundraising events, celebrating Chinese festivals, culture tours, and possibly a trip to China.
NOTICE: The CCC will meet every other Wednesday in MLC 552. Alternate Wednesdays will be conversation practice with a Chinese native speaker. So plan on coming every Wednesday for either CCC business or conversation.
