The new book for the 2007-08 year, including summer 2008, is American Government and Politics Today-Texas Edition, 13th Edition, isbn: 9780495392026. This book is available as an EBOOK ; this means that you may purchase only the electronic chapters you need or the whole book. If you need the looseleaf version, ask the bookstore.


Online courses conduct all work ONLINE.

Web-enhanced classes meet on regularly scheduled days, MWF or TTH, thus all of the instruction is in the classroom; however, the student has access to learning materials via WEB CT.

2301 Major Topics are as follows: Ideology, Constitutions, Federalism, Legislatures, Executives, Judiciaries, Bureaucracies, Local Governments, and Texas Political History.

2302 Major Topics are as follows: Civil Rights, Civil Liberties, Cyber-Politics, The Media, Voting, Elections and Campaigns, Political Parties, Interest Groups, Domestic and Economic Policy, and Foreign Policy.

Topics are added to keep up with current events and other issues related to the major topics.

How does one enter a Web Ct-course? Log in to PALS E-Portal using your id and password; the instructions are provided on that page. This link can be found on the SAC Homepage as well. Then go to "My Courses". Click on your course for your Web CT homepage. If having problems, call the ACCD technical services at 220-1616.
