  • As soon as you have enrolled in the course you should send an email to jphiliprogers@yahoo.com. Be sure to send the message from the email you intend to use; i.e. do not send your introductory email from a friend's email. If you plan to use more than one email - send a separate email message from each one you plan to use.

  • Textbook policy  The textbook policy for this course is different than most classes in that is much more flexible and designed to save you money.  You WILL need to purchase either an American Government and a Texas Government Textbook OR a combined version of both textbooks (like the SAC bookstore sells).  However, WHICH American/Texas textbook(s) you purchases is up to you.   So long as they are college level and no more than four years old they are acceptable.  Some of the questions on the exam will come exclusively from the textbook(s) BUT they will be questions that any relatively recent college level American and Texas Government texts could address

  • There is no formal orientation for the course. To find out how the course works, peruse the syllabus and schedule pages.  Once you have checked these pages out - the course format should be self-explanatory.   However, if you have any questions you may also email Dr. Rogers at jphiliprogers@yahoo.com or call him on his cell phone: 288-3112.

  • PALS/WEBCT only used to post grades and for an OPTIONAL extra credit discussion.   For the sake of student convenience, this course is designed so that you do NOT have to go through e-portal or WEBCT for any required material or to communicate with Professor or your peers.  Grades will be posted on the course WEBCT and we will offer an optional discussion on WEBCT - but that is all PALS/WEBCT will be used for this course.   You can access all the required material for this course directly on the www at this website
