Since 1994, ACCD's Office of International Programs has provided services that foster a global perspective among students and faculty.  We are excited to announce the beginning of a new project "Bringing the World Home and Home to the World"; funded by a U.S. Department of Education Title VI-A Internationalizing the Curriculum and Improving Foreign Languages grant.   During the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 academic years, the Office of International Programs will pursue the following objectives:

Objective 1: To research and develop specialized teaching materials for foreign language classes.

Objective 2: To research and develop specialized teaching materials for internationalized classes.

Objective 3: to establish internship/study abroad opportunities for faculty and students in domestic and overseas settings.

Objective 4: To expand the development of International Studies related programs, certificates, and concentrations at ACCD colleges and ensure students an International Studies Continuum.

This web site, will collect and compile resources developed by Alamo Community College District faculty that  foster greater internationalization in curriculum development.  The Office of International Programs is currently seeking faculty and staff interesting in developing teaching materials.  Click the categories on the left hand side of this screen for further information about the variety of opportunities here.  Interested faculty and staff are also encouraged to attend one of the following workshops:
