Sophomore Projects

The IDST 2377 class, "Modes of Discourse Across the Disciplines," was the the final class in the Honors sequence for the spring of 1997. The class was student taught. The subject for the symposium was "Post Modern America: 1950-1975." Students chose subtopics for their research (for example "The Space Program"). Every third week, students presented their research findings to the rest of the class. The presentations became the material for the final exam and each topic was then developed into a 20-25 page essay. The end of semester essays can be viewed by clicking on the link below. These essays are reprinted by permission of the individual student. For the right to use any parts of these essays, contact the Honors program.
