Welcometo the Thomas C. Hoy Leadership Institute! The primary purpose of the Hoy Leadership Institute is to develop San Antonio College's number one resource - our staff. The Hoy Leadership Institute is a selective program for staff who wish to develop leadership skills, grow in their current positions, and prepare themselves for their future.
The program is considered job related, therefore classes are offered during regular work hours. Taking time off or working around lunch hours is not necessary. Supervisors are encouraged to work with their staff to allot time for this valuable training. Start now in discussing this program with your supervisor to fit it into your work schedule. Application process begins August 2009. Consider applying for the leadership program. We are accepting mentor applications from SAC administrators, VPs, deans, and directors. Submit application form to any Hoy Leadership committee member. New for Fall 2009 is the Communications Skills program which is the second strand of the Hoy Leadership program. The leadership program is a pre-requisite for communications skills program eligiblity. The communication skills program was developed specifically to meet the needs of leadership program alumni. Registration for the Communication Skills Program begins in August 2009. |
