Articles and internet links will be provided to build content knowledge. Pre-requisites: Access to a computer with internet connection. Knowledge of a word processing program, preferably Microsoft Word. Adobe Acrobat Professional version 7 beneficial but not required. Learner Outcomes: Students completing this course will be able to use simple and complex search techniques to view, critically evaluate, and retrieve appropriate information for implementing professional or personal events. Performance Objective 1: In small groups, students will produce reports on specific topics and will use the internet to find and retrieve content for the report, producing a comparison chart of terms used and search engine results, discussing the process with the class.Methods of Measurement Point Values:
