the "Bulletin
Board" button. a.
Find the topic called"Introduce Yourself." You
may
want to read the two example introductions I prepared.
These two are very different introductions for myself.
Yours may be short or long, but keep in mind that if it
is too long people may not want to read it.
(1)
The first example is long and tells a lot about my life.
(2)
The other example is very short and general.
b.
Find the button that says "Compose Discussion Message"
and click on it.
c. Think about what you would like to tell members of the
class about yourself. Write a few paragraphs that members
of the class will read and get to know you. Share some of your
experiences, interests, accomplishments, and future goals.
Do
not share anything too personal or inappropriate.
Everyone will be able to read what you say.
d.
Use only one of the two following methods to prepare your
introduction.
(1)
You may type your introduction directly into the
WebCT message box
window.
(2)
Or, you may write your introduction in a
word processor
*
Let the text wrap as you type.
*
When satisfied with what you have written,
*
Read it carefully and spell check it.
*

it into the box.

copy your text, select
the text with your

to
look, press the "Post" button.

benefit of taking these assessments it that they will help
you
understand more about how you learn and may assist you

your

changes.
If you submit a lab unit by the due date, you will receive

will receive a grade but NO extra credit points. Being on

13. Recently I was asked by UTSA to prepare information
related
to "Success for On-line Learners." Although
this
Web sit has quite a bit of information that is redundant to the
orientation for this class, you might find some of it useful to
you. I would especially like for you to read the tab related to
- "Protecting your Identity
& Security"
- "If Problems Occur Don't Drop
the Course"
This
is optional and may be accessed at the following Web site.
