I have Netscape 7.1 or Internet Explorer 6 browser or above?

I have an e-mail account for myself.

I have a word processing program.

I have funds to purchase my textbooks and materials right away.

II. Do I have adequate technical skills?

I have an adequate working knowledge of my computer.

I am able to search and find information on the Internet.

I know how to send and receive e-mail messages.

I am able to attach and send a document with e-mail.

I can save and organize incoming and outgoing e mail messages.

I know how to use a word processing program.

I am able to learn new Internet-based programs if necessary.

I am able to read, understand, and remember what I have read. 

You probably have adequate skills for an Internet class. 

You will need additional knowledge before you start the class.

You will have difficulty with an Internet course this semester.

You are unprepared to take an Internet course.

III. Do I have the personal qualities and necessary support?

I am willing to give my school work priority in my life.

I can plan for and meet deadlines.

I can complete assignments without being reminded.

I am will allocate at least 9 to 12 hours per week to this class.

I respond to e-mail in a timely manner.

If I have problems I will get help from the instructor or others.

I can work and communicate with classmates over the Internet.

My family, friends, and employer support my taking this class.
