Use Soundslides© to make slide shows

* Create a folder name Òyourname portfolio photosÓ folder on your desktop. Put all your portfolio photos into that folder. Make sure all the photos have captions ready in the File Info in Photoshop. You will need to Photoshop-correct your photos, also, crop the photos to the way you want it to be presented. Make sure all photos should be saved as Baseline ÒStandard.Ó  Do not save as non-progressive. All photos need to have .jpg extension.

* You should prepare your mp3 music for your slideshow at this time if you want to have audio accompany with your slideshow.

* Open Soundslides Plus application. Create a project. Name it as Òyourname portfolio projectÓ. Save it to your desktop.

In Output sizes, select ÒStandard slide showÓ or select ÒCustom slide showÓ if you want a specific size.

Choose JPG. Browse to select the folder you store your photos.

Choose SND (If you are ready, if not, you can do this later.) Browse to your music file. It must be in MP3 format.

Slides: positioning photo order.

Slide Info: for additional captions.

Template: preset background color, text color, font style, size and other detail settings.

Project info: headline and credit. (Put your name here if this is your portfolio)

Save your project. Then Test it until you are satisfy with it.

Finally, you will need to Export it.

* Show your portfolio created by Soundslides:

The Òpublish for webÓ folder in Òyourname portfolio projectÓ folder is the crucial folder for the slideshow to work. Find the index.html file inside that folder and open it with any web browser. Your slideshow will present automatically. (You can change the ÒindexÓ to your name instead if you want to).

If you want to mail your slideshow to someone, you will need to mail the whole Òpublish for webÓ folder. ThereÕs a way to make the whole folder into one compressed file for easy mailing. Hold ÒcontrolÓ key and click on the folder until you see ÒCreate Archive of É..Ó Select that and you will find a .zip file immediately created next to your Òpublish for webÓ folder. You can e-mail that folder to someone who wants to view your portfolio.

Note: Keep the Òyourname portfolio projectÓ in a save place because if you need to make changes in your portfolio slideshow in the future, you will have to come back to this Soundslides project folder.
