Assignment: Thick-skin

This assignment is to test your ability to communicate with strangers face to face and, at the same time, to take a technically-sound photo. You will need to prepare technically and psychologically.

You are required to take photos of 4 strangers (absolutely not someone you know) outside the Journalism-Photography building. Take the photos at the place you found them and ask them to look DIRECTLY at you (your camera). Fill your frame with the person's body or upper part of their body, no environment is needed. Ask your subject whether someone from your class had taken their photos, no subject is qualify for a second time.

For students, get their names, major, and classification. For faculty and staff, get their names, titles and the departments they work for.

You have 20 mins to finish the photographing part. Mark you time on the board and take a photo of it before you leave and mark your time and take a photo of it right after you come back.

You will have 20 mins to download the photos and put in the cutline information to complete the assignment.

Every minute late will receive 5 points (out of 100) penalty to your final grade on this assignment.

You are limited to shoot only 20 frames (not counting your 2 whiteboard photos) for this assignment. You are not allow to delete any photo once you leave the classroom.

You will be graded on the technical quality of the photos and how well you follow the rules listed in this assignment.
