Alt Health Watch [EBSCO] This alternative health database provides full text for 180 publications in the collection, including full text for many peer-reviewed journals. Alt HealthWatch provides in-depth coverage across the full spectrum of subject areas covered by complementary and alternative medicine dating back to 1990.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text [EBSCO] (the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) Provides indexing for 3,001 journals, with coverage dating as far back as 1937, the articles formerly available in the Pre-CINAHL database (i.e., before the articles are fully indexed), and searchable cited references for more than 1,155 journals. CINAHL Plus with Full Text provides full text for 336 journals, plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials. Back file begins with 1937 and includes articles in PDF format.

This full text database covers topics such as aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs & alcohol, fitness, nutrition & dietetics, children's health, men & women's health, etc. Includes Spanish language content.

Discovering Science [GaleGroup] Over 2500 encyclopedia length articles and 1000 biographical sketches of scientists and inventors. Disciplines covered include: the physical and applied sciences, medicine, technology, information sciences, and mathematics.

Health & Wellness Resource Center [GaleGroup] Instant access to carefully compiled and trusted medical reference resources such as Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, Gale Encyclopedia of Childhood and Adolescence, and PDR Family Guide to Health and Nutrition. Health Reference Center--Academic [GaleGroup] multi-source database that provides access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals, plus a wide variety of personal health information sources. Integrates the full text and images of respected nursing, allied health and medical journals; consumer health magazines; newsletters; pamphlets; newspaper articles; topical interviews; and reference books.

Health Source: Consumer Edition [EBSCO] This database is the richest collection of consumer health information available to libraries worldwide, providing information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source: Consumer Edition features searchable full text for nearly 150 journals. This database is updated on a daily basis.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition [EBSCO] This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals, plus indexing and full text of Clinical Pharmacology, and the Merriam-Webster's Medical Desk Dictionary for drug information and medical terminology respectively. This database is updated on a daily basis

LexisNexis Academic [LexisNexis] Medical includes: Medical News, Medical Journals, and Abstracts from Medline. Full-text for most items.

MEDLINE with MeSH [EBSCO] Offers users access to information from all journals indexed in the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE file. Gain access to information from such fields as medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system and preclinical sciences. Links to full text of over 350 full text journals. Included are abstracts and indexing for over 3,800 current biomedical journals published in the U.S. and 70 foreign countries, and citations found in Index Medicus, the International Nursing Index and the Index to Dental Literature. Additionally, table of contents information for 2,400 titles (provided by the British Document Supply Centre) and a Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) index with tree numbers, tree hierarchy is also included.

Consumer information includes a medical encyclopedia, medical dictionaries, drug information, and directories listing the locations and credentials of doctors, dentists, and hospitals.

MEDLINEplus Informacion de Salud [U.S. National Library of Medicine] The Spanish version of The National Library of Medicine's consumer health database. Includes an illustrated encyclopedia with over 4,000 articles on diseases, injuries, tests, and surgeries. Also includes interactive health tutorials that describe medical procedures, surgeries, and the symptoms and effects of diseases.

The Morgue: Mortuary Journals Database[Kansas City Kansas Community College] Indexes 11 professional journals in the mortuary field. Dates of coverage varies with each journal; earliest year covered is 1997. Citations only, no full text.

PLoS Medicine[PLoS] Public Library of Science Medicine is an open access, peer reviewed, full text, scientific journal available free online. First issue published on October 19, 2004.

PubMed [U.S. National Library of Medicine] The National Library of Medicine's preferred web-based search engine to access the 9 million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to participating online journals), and other related databases.

PubMed Central [U.S. National Library of Medicine] An electronic archive for full text journal articles, offering unrestricted access to its contents. Every full text article in PubMed Central has a corresponding entry in PubMed.
