Request eLibrary Instruction for your online students

Would you like to make sure your students find the right online research sources for their projects? Do you currently use or are interested in using the ACCD Meeting Place (Elluminate vClass software) for your eCollege or off-campus courses?

If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, I would be happy to lead an online research workshop for you and your students via the ACCD Meeting Place.

Email me (celitadearmond@gmail.com) to set up a date/time, with the following info:

• 1. course name and number
  
• 2. your contact information - name, email, phone
  
• 3. preferred date/time of instruction + backup date/time (allow 2 weeks notice)
  
• 4. research project description and resource requirements
  

The ACCD Meeting Place is a powerful tool supported by the District that allows students and teachers to talk to one another online using two-way audio and instant message chat. Participants can effectively search for sources together using application sharing features, and teachers can push students to a particular site, show a powerpoint presentation on a topic, or hold a test review session. Sessions can also be recorded for later access by students or teachers.

Here's how to get to the eLibrary Instruction room:

1. Go to http://elluminate.accd.edu
   
2. First time user? Click on and install the Plug-in.
   
3. Click on Meeting Rooms
   
4. Click on SAC
   
5. Click to enter the eLibrary Instruction room
   
6. Enter your first and last name
   
7. Enter password: library
