The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards ( http://www.cfseb.org ) administers the National Board Exam and has a variety of Funeral Service related links. The American Board of Funeral Service Education ( http://www.abfse.org ) is the organization which accredits college programs in Mortuary Science. Includes a good FAQ for students considering a career in the field. The National Funeral Director's Association ( http://www.nfda.org ), an organization for funeral service professionals, provides continuing education, research, and other services. The Texas Funeral Service Commission ( http://www.tfsc.state.tx.us ) regulates and licenses funeral homes in Texas. In charge of inspection and enforcement. The Texas Funeral Directors Association ( http://www.tfda.com ) provides continuing education and other services for funeral directors. Publishes Director magazine. |
