Faculty Information

Madeline Elizondo received a Masters in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Music in all-level Music Education from Texas State University-San Marcos. In 2009 Madeline Elizondo made her first debut with San Antonio Opera as the Mother of Cio-Cio-San. In August of 2009 she sang the role of Mamma Lucia and understudied Santuzza for Carol Vaness in a production of Cavalleria Rusticana put on by South Texas Lyric Opera. Previous appearances with South Texas Lyric Opera include the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors in 2008 and The Angel in Part I of Mendelssohn’s Elijah in June 2009. In November of 2008 Madeline premiered as Hansel in the debut performance of Hansel and Gretel with Sparkling City Light Opera out of Corpus Christi. In January 2007 she was a part of the Austin Lyric Opera American premiere of Waiting for the Barbarians by Philip Glass. During her Masters at Texas State University-San Marcos, she was featured as Madame Croissy in a production of Dialogues of the Carmelites.
