Faculty Information
Prof. Rose has studied Mediterranean and Middle Eastern culture in the course of obtaining his BA, MA, and PhD degrees, and through frequent visits to many countries of this region. He lived for a year in Israel/Palestine as a Fulbright Scholar, and is comfortable in several modern and ancient languages. In addition to teaching at all of the Alamo Community Colleges, Prof. Rose has been a dean at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, at Incarnate Word College, and Our Lady of the Lake University. Outside the classroom, Prof. Rose plays the piano and organ and renaissance recorders, and sings in several choirs, and is a philatelist.
