Some Important San Antonio College Policies

(Quotations are from the San Antonio College Catalog, 1998-1999.)

I. Absences -- "A student absent the equivalent of two weeks of instruction in a regular semester may be dropped by the instructor." Please consult the San Antonio College Catalog for details.

II. Academic Dishonesty -- The full text of the policy may be found in the "Student Code of Conduct," which is on pages 52-60 in the San Antonio College Catalog. The text reads, in part: "Students found guilty of an act of academic dishonesty may be subject to:
Academic penalty including one or more of the following when not inconsistent.
a. A requirement to perform additional academic work not required of other students in the course
A reduction in grade.
Assignment of a grade of "F" in the course.
(2) Corrective measures including any penalty which may be imposed in a student disciplinary hearing pursuant to this Code of Conduct.

III. Children on Campus -- "Students are urged not to bring children to either a class or a lab. Minors under the age of 12 must not be left unattended on campus." Individual instructors may include additional restrictions or waivers in the syllabi for their particular classrooms or labs.

IV. ADA Statement for Students Requiring Special Accommodations -- As per section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 197 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, if accommodation is needed, the student must get in touch with the Office of Disabled Student Services, CAC 124C, Phone: 733-2347.

V. These and all other policies and procedures outlined in The San Antonio College Catalog and in The San Antonio College Student Handbook will be enforced in this course.
