Welcome

NAHC

Along with 10 other programs at San Antonio College, the Nursing Program was recognized as an "Exemplary Program" in February 2008. (News Release)

San Antonio College offers two nursing degree plans. The Generic Degree Plan is a two year program open to all qualified students. The Career Mobility Degree Plan is a one year bridge program from LVN or LPN to RN. Students who complete the program will be rewarded with the prestigious Associate of Applied Science in Nursing. If the NCLEX-RN examination is passed, the graduate is licensed in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse (RN). The program is accredited by the Texas Board of Nursing and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Courses are taught in both day and evening sections. To be competitive for the program, the student needs to complete as many basics as possible, have current immunizations, attend counseling, have a competitive GPA, and apply to both San Antonio College and the Nursing program.

Our Nursing Information Session is offered on Wednesdays at 1:00 in the Moody Learning Center, Room 178. Please attend. For further information contact Amy White in the Counseling Department at (210) 486-0351. No registration required.

NOTICE: PLEASE COMPLETE ALL IMMUNIZATIONS BEFORE APPLYING TO THE NURSING PROGRAM. APPLICANTS WITH INCOMPLETE RECORDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ENTRY, NO EXCEPTIONS. (HEP B SERIES TAKES APPPROX. 7 MONTHS TO COMPLETE AND IS GOOD FOR 10 YEARS, SO START NOW!!!)
