Aurora Garcia joined the nursing faculty at SAC in 1988. She
received her B.S.N. from Baylor University and her M.S.N from Texas
Women’s University majoring in Community Health nursing and minoring
in both education and advance practice.
She
has taught as a lecturer at West Texas State University and was
an assistant professor in community health at Incarnate Word College
where she was also coordinator of the community health program.
She has participated in grant reviews for the Department of Health
and Human Resources, Division of Nursing in Washington, D.C.
She remains active in clinical nursing practice by working as a
PRN home health nurse with Christus Santa Rosa Home Health.
