Nursing Student Dismissal Policy
spacer Students are expected to know and observe the ACCD “Student Code of Conduct” and Department of Nursing Education (DNE) policies concerning conduct and discipline.

Dismissal of a student currently enrolled in the San Antonio College Department of Nursing Education results in the formal termination and severance of the relationship between the student and the program.  Therefore, a nursing student who violates the Student Code of Conduct is subject to these rules.

A student enrolled in the SAC Department of Nursing Education program can be dismissed from the program based on failure to maintain:

  • Academic standards
  • Acceptable student conduct.

An instructor can file a grievance against any student demonstrating academic dishonesty.
