Cecilia Kinsel joined the SAC faculty in 1972. She received her BSN from Incarnate Word College in 1969, her MSN from UTHSCSA in 1974 and her PhD in Nursing from UT Austin in 1986. Her clinical speciality has always been in pediatrics accompanied by a teaching focus. Her clinical focus has included ambulatory pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care. She has participated in writing pediatric questions for NCLEX-RN, the Foreign Nurses' Exam and the American Nursing Credentialing Center Exam for pediatric certification. She has maintained membership in ANA, Sigma Theta Tau and Texas Community College Teachers' Association.
