Welcome to the
Virtual College of Texas
web site for SAC Online. Here you will find all the information
you need pertaining to what VCT is, how it works, and what you need
to do to participate.
VCT is a consortium
of all public community colleges in Texas offering distance education
courses. This arrangement allows students to take classes from other
Texas community colleges while paying their own district's tuition
and keeping all credits on their home college transcript.
SAC Online acts as
a provider college for VCT. This means that we offer some of our
Online and Video Courses for students at other VCT schools ("host
colleges"). This allows us to showcase our finest distance
education courses and meet the needs of students throughout the
state.
