Parents are invited to apply for the 2005-06 LULAC Rey Feo Parent/Child Scholarship by the March 31 priority application deadline. The program is a partnership of LULAC Council #2, the San Antonio College Women's Center & Adult Re-Entry Program, and the Alamo Community College District Foundation.
The LULAC Rey Feo Parent/Child Scholarship program seeks to ensure the educational success of two generations by providing support, encouragement, assistance and incentives for parents to complete their educational objectives at one of the colleges of the Alamo Community College District (ACCD): San Antonio College, St. Philip's College, Palo Alto College, or Northwest Vista College.
The program provides $1,000 scholarships ($250 a semester for four consecutive semesters) for 25 parents to attend any college in the Alamo Community College District. By completing their educational objective, the parents ensure a full tuition scholarship for their child to attend an ACCD institution after high school graduation.
Applications and eligibility requirements may be accessed at http://www.accd.edu/sac/students/wc.htm. Applicants are encouraged to apply by the priority application deadline of March 31.
