Information sessions are being offered about becoming a Texas Certified Public School Teacher through the teacher certification program at San Antonio College's Center for Educator Preparation, in the Continuing Education Training Network.
The sessions will be held 3 p.m. in the Longwith Radio, Television, and Film (LRTF) Building (corner of Main and Courtland), Room 101, on the following dates: Wednesday, Oct. 24 and Wednesday, Nov. 1.
"Texas is facing a teacher shortage, and the San Antonio College Center for Educator Preparation is seeking dynamic individuals eager to fill the need by becoming effective classroom teachers," said Mona Aldana-Ramirez, Program Coordinator.
She added that a Bachelor's degree is required to begin the fast-track to teacher certification in Science, Math and Elementary Generalist.
