In keeping with its mission of supporting women, serving community and expanding visions, the San Antonio College Women’s Center will offer $25,000 in scholarships as part of its 25th Anniversary celebration. A total of 10 scholarships worth $2,500 each will be awarded to women applicants who are currently attending or planning to attend San Antonio College. The deadline for applications is Monday, July 31.
The scholarships, funded by the ACCD Foundation, will be awarded at the “Future Women of Vision” celebration on September 21, which will also feature a talk by renowned women's activist Gloria Steinem.
To be eligible, each female applicant must have completed 12-30 college credit hours and have an overall 2.5 grade point average. Also, at time of application submission, she must be enrolled for a minimum of nine college hours at San Antonio College for the Fall 2006 semester, and have submitted the 2006-2007 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
