The San Antonio College Family Learning Academy will hold its Third Annual Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, June 6 at 7 p.m. in the Fiesta Room of the Loftin Student Center. The keynote speaker will be Professor Norma V. Cantu, University of Texas at Austin School of Law and Education and former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education.
"The Family Learning Academy will celebrate the accomplishment of our 80 volunteers, who have been directly engaged in the promotion of education via mentoring, tutoring, and educational information outreach services in our partnership high schools Lanier, Fox Tech, Jefferson and Edison and their feeder schools," said Oscar San Miguel, Community Outreach Coordinator.
The goal of the academy is to enhance post-secondary educational opportunities among these schools to encourage students to attend San Antonio College or any college of their choice.
