"Gotta Dance"

WHAT
“Gotta Dance”

The performance will feature 40 JOVEN students ages 5 to 14 who have been choreographed and coached by their own cultural arts coordinator Chayo Champion, as well as San Antonio College Performance Dance students participating in a service-learning project.  

Dances to include jazz lyrical, hip-hop, ballet folklorico, and flamenco.

$5 donation
Sales benefit the non-profit JOVEN agency, whose mission is “to develop character and resiliency in children by providing them with innovative and exciting programs, as well as structured alternative activities that are designed to help them to succeed.”

OTHER DETAILS

Concession sales also will benefit JOVEN.

The Service-Learning program at San Antonio combines service to the community with student learning in a way that improves both the student and the community. The project was funded in part by a Learn and Serve grant.
