College for Kids at San Antonio College Offers Fun Summertime Learning
Registration opens May 1 for sessions that run June 9-27 and July 7-25

WHAT
College for Kids
This popular summertime program from the Continuing Education Training Network at San Antonio College offers fun educational opportunities for students who may have fallen behind and want to catch up on their studies, or who are on-track but want to get a head start for the next school year.
 
Students in grades three through eight may register for morning and/or afternoon classes, including Computers, Crazy Science, Notorious Numbers (math), Reading, Writing, Art and more.  Each class is two-hours long and meets Monday through Friday.
 
The program also offers wrap-around care with early drop-off and late pick-up options.
 
Costs:
Each 2-hour class = $80
Early Drop-off option = $45
Late Pick-up option = $45

Daily schedule:
7:30 a.m.   Early Drop Off
9 – 11 a.m.   Morning Class
11 a.m.-12 p.m.   Lunch/Relaxation
12 – 2 p.m.   Afternoon Class
2 – 4 p.m.   Afternoon Class
By 5:30 p.m.  Late Pick-Up

ADD’L DETAILS
The program allows students to take up to three classes each day, with a lunch or relaxation hour from 11 a.m. to noon.   Also offered for parents who work early and/or late are the “Early Drop-Off” (after 7:30 a.m.) and “Late Pick-Up” (by 5:30 p.m.) options; $45 per option, per session.  
 
Students are always supervised while participating in the program, even during the “out-of-class” times when other activities are available, such as age-appropriate movies, various board games and book reading.
 
In its 25th year of operations, the College for Kids program is academic- and enrichment-based, and course offerings are divided for students in Elementary (grades 3-5) and Middle school (grades 6-8).
