(San Antonio, TX, April 22, 2009) – San Antonio College Visual Arts & Technology students won 16 ADDY Awards, including eight gold and eight silver for excellence in advertising design from the San Antonio Advertising Federation.  
 
Additionally, Natalie Polendo won  a Silver ADDY Award in the Advertising Federation’s, District ADDY competition in the student category. Polendo’s type book  “Circus Type” also won a Gold ADDY in the local competition.
 
 SAC Digital Design student winners are:  Natalie Polendo, Daniel Gomez, Logan Cantu, Christina Harwell, Xavier Gilmore, Fernando Andrade, Kelly Kirkland, Michael Cardenas, Pedro Villegas, Douglas Cohen-Miller, Viviana Vega and Daniela Guana.
 
Award winning student ADDY’s came from the following Digital Design faculty members: Brook Rosser, Liu Qing, Joel Knocke, Janette Morales, and Berne Smith.   
 
 Polendo was awarded an Advertising Federation Silver ADDY for the 10th District,  which the San Antonio Advertising federation is a part of. Polendo’s Circus Type book placed out of all the students in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. That award will be presented Saturday, April 25, in Houston. Polendo graduated in December.
