Registration Under Way for College for Kids at San Antonio College |
| WHAT San Antonio College for Kids This popular summertime program from the Continuing Education Training Network at San Antonio College offers fun educational opportunities for students who may have fallen behind and want to catch up on their studies, or who are on-track but want to get a head start for the next school year. College for Kids is academic-and enrichment-based, and course offerings are divided for students in Elementary (grades 3-5) and Middle school (grades 6-8). Students may register for morning and/or afternoon classes, including Computer, Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Art and more. WHEN Sessions run June 8-26 and July 13-31 Each class is two hours long and meets Monday through Friday. WHERE San Antonio College, 1300 San Pedro Ave., 78212 Continuing Education Annex, West Dewey @ Lewis Costs: Each 2-hour class = $80 Early Drop-off option = $45 Late Pick-up option = $45 Daily schedule: 7:30 a.m. Early Drop Off begins 9 – 11 a.m. Morning Class 11 a.m.-Noon Lunch/Relaxation Noon – 2 p.m. Afternoon Class 2 – 4 p.m. Afternoon Class By 5:30 p.m. Late Pick-Up Contact: Call (210) 486-0413 or email aluna@mail.accd.edu The information packet is available for download at www.accd.edu/sac/ce/cfk/index.html ADD’L DETAILS Students are always supervised while participating in the program, even during the “out-of-class” times when other activities are available, such as age-appropriate movies, various board games and book reading. Class size is limited to 15 participants. The program allows students to take up to three classes each day, with a lunch or relaxation hour from 11 a.m. to noon. Students are encouraged to bring a lunch. Also offered for parents who work early and/or late are the “Early Drop-Off” (after 7:30 a.m.) and “Late Pick-Up” (by 5:30 p.m.) options; an additional $45 per option, per session. |
