The San Antonio College Women’s Center is still accepting applications for the 2009-2010 LULAC Parent/Child Scholarship Program.  The deadline has been extended to June 19.
 
The LULAC Parent/Child Scholarship program seeks to ensure the educational success of two generations by providing support, encouragement, assistance and incentives for participants to complete their educational objective at an Alamo College.
 
By completing their educational objective, the participant ensures a full scholarship for their child. One of these scholarships is the Lisa Flores Memorial Scholarship.
 
Successful applicants must:
 
* Be the parent of only one child, age 6 or younger.
 
*  Enroll in Fall 2009 at an Alamo College: San Antonio College, Northeast Lakeview College, Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College or St. Philip's College.
 
*  Be willing to commit to complete an educational goal at an Alamo College.
 
*  Have no more than 30 college level earned hours.
 
*   Have a cumulative 2.500 GPA or higher.
