SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 10, 2009) – The San Antonio College Women’s Center is still accepting applications for the 2009-2010 Mi CASA Community College Scholar Scholarship. The deadline has been extended to June 19.
 
Mi CASA (Career Advancement & Self-sufficiency Assistance) Program serves low-to-moderate income residents located in the 78212 ZIP code area that includes Tobin Hill, Alta Vista, Beacon Hill, and Five Points.   
 
Successful applicants must:
 
* Be a resident of the 78212 ZIP code.
 
*  Enroll in San Antonio College and maintain enrollment in a minimum of six credit hours each semester.  
 
*  Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form (FAFSA)
 
*  Meet Alamo Colleges scholarship requirements.
 
*  Have a cumulative   2.5 GPA or higher.
 
* Participate in mentoring/outreach activities at the Seguir Adelante Community Center.
 
 The Seguir Adelante Community Center is located on the SAC campus at 703 Howard St.,  (corner of Evergreen & Howard)
