Public Adminstration Student Receives Wall Street Journal Achievement Award

SAN ANTONIO, TX (Oct. 2) – San Antonio College student Tonya Drake has received the 2009 Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award for Academic Excellence and Leadership.  

One student each year is selected from SAC to receive this prestigious national award. In December, Ms. Drake will complete her Associate Degree in Public Administration.  She works as a Special Projects Manager with the City of San Antonio, and became a SAC student in Fall 2007 through the “Lunch and Learn” program in partnership with SAC and the City of San Antonio.

Ms. Drake will transfer to Texas A&M–San Antonio and pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations.
