San Antonio Writing Project Open Institute on “Crossing to College: What is College-Readiness in Writing? And How Do We Get There?”
Designed for high school or middle school teachers who wish to learn more about the new Texas College Readiness Standards, the practice of teaching writing, and how to prepare their students for college writing.

Participants will explore the recent definitions of College Readiness in English as defined by the newly adopted Texas College Readiness Standards and ground these standards in specific practices from the College English classroom.
Participants will receive 30 Professional Development Credits (30 clock hours), certified by the Academy for Teacher Excellence at UTSA. |
