SAC Offers Corporate Trainer Certification
at Randolph AFB

| This September, San Antonio College will offer a Corporate Trainer Certification
program at the Randolph Air Force Base Education Center in addition to offering
it at the college campus, according to Richard White, Continuing Education
Specialist. “The new location will provide more opportunity for trainers in Northeast Bexar County to receive the Corporate Trainer Certification,” said White. He said SAC has been offering the 96-hour program on campus since 1997. The program is designed for new and intermediate level training professionals, and the curriculum is based on national ASTD competencies. The course covers training program development, adult student-centered instruction, trainer presentation skills, training program management, instructional methods and media, and organizational leadership. To be certified, students must successfully complete a capstone project, which includes development of a training program, and make a graded oral presentation. A capstone committee will evaluate the project and presentation. For more information, call Richard White at 733-2647. |
