Corporate Trainers Are Certified
|
| Six professional trainers have met requirements for the Certified Corporate
Trainer (CCT) designation, after recently completing a course offered by
the San Antonio College Continuing Education & Workforce Development
Division. They are Ursula Alvarado, Sheryl Blackstone, Curtis Campbell,
Loraine Catlett, Tracy Pete, and Debbie Stallings. Topics of study in the 96-clock-hour Certified Corporate Training program are Training Program Development, Student-Centered Instruction, Trainer Presentation Skills, Training Program Management, Instructional Methods and Media, and Organizational Leadership. In addition to these studies, students must complete a capstone project - development of a training program to include learning objectives, tests and measurement, training budget, and training quality assessment tools. The capstone project and a graded oral presentation are evaluated by a committee of educators and professional trainers, who make recommendations for certification as Corporate Training Program Manager.
